Stormwater Discharges from Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems
(MS4)
MS4 Annual
Report/Interim Progress Certification 2025 for period ending March 28, 2025.
Kingsbury participates in a Federal Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) mandated program for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer
Systems (MS4). The purpose of this program is to control the
inflow of pollutants into the town's storm sewers and drainage
ditches. Products such as oil, antifreeze, liter, animal wastes,
fertilizer, pesticides and sediment for erosion can be washed into
the storm drain system during rain storms or by melting snow.
Eventually this untreated stormwater flows into our streams and
lakes and can impact water quality.
2025 Adopted
Budget -
Fiscal Year January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025
“Imagine Kingsbury” Comprehensive Plan was made possible through funding provided by the Hudson River Valley Greenway (HRVG) and New York State Department of State (NYSDOS). Following the unprecedented pandemic, Town leaders initiated the development of an update to Kingsbury’s 1973 Comprehensive Plan to understand the community’s vision and values. This Comprehensive Plan is the result of significant efforts by the Comprehensive Plan Committee, Town Supervisor, Town Board, Town Planning Board, Town Zoning Board of Appeals, and various other Town departments and volunteers who contributed to this process. These individuals worked collaboratively and through their leadership, commitment, energy and enthusiasm made this “Imagine Kingsbury” possible.
The Town of Kingsbury Comprehensive Plan began an update to its long-range policy document in 2021, nearly 40 years since the Town’s last plan was last updated. The Town established a Comprehensive Planning Committee to guide the planning process and engage the community following an unprecedented pandemic. Download / print / View - The Town of Kingsbury Comprehensive Plan: Vision Report January 2022.

The updated Comprehensive Plan is intended to guide officials with policies and reinforce the communities desired vision. Rooted in this vision has been an emphasis to continue to “preserve Kingsbury’s small town, rural character” while encouraging the community to “Imagine Kingsbury” into its future years.
